Math Update

We took the Unit 1 (Number Theory) posttest today.  I am anxious to get these checked to see how the kids did--I'm hopeful as they have already met their learning targets for Unit 1.  We will start Unit 2  (Estimation and Computation) on Monday.  We will take the math MAP test on Tuesday of next week as well.  We continue to practice basic multiplication facts.

One way the kids like to practice is to play a version of war with number cards or a deck of playing cards--each player lays down one of their cards.  The first person to say the correct product of the two cards gets to keep both cards.  The player who gets all the cards, or the most cards, wins.

Here are a few free apps to practice these, if you are interested:
Sushi Math
Multiplying Acorns HD
Math Concentration
Multiplication Number Bubbles
